In response to the report from Nabaa that Kuwait is hosting former YSP leader Ali al Baydh, SABA news publishes denials by the the Kuwaiti ambassador to Sana’a. Interesting that he says there is no “popular” support for a southern separatist movement.
Reports of Kuwaiti hosting of Yemen ex-vice president denied
[21 October 2007]SANA’A, (Saba)- Kuwait has denied reports that it is hosting former vice president of Yemen Ali Salim al-Baid or any Yemeni rebellion groups.
Kuwaiti acting ambassador to Sana’a Mutib al-Oseimi stated to al-Tagheer news website that there is no official or popular support for any Yemeni separation organization in Kuwait.
He also denied any offer from Kuwait to host al-Baid in its territories, saying that the Yemeni-Kuwaiti relations are brotherly and significant.
Al-Oseimi wondered about publishing such false news by NabaNews website which aims at insulting ties between the two countries.
