What happened to Krajeski?

Thomas Krajeski was a breath of fresh air… a large inprovement over his crusty predecessor Hull. Now we got this new guy Seche. I guess being stuck inside the US embassy compund takes its toll. Btw, I know Krejeski’s Arabic teacher, and am told his language was first rate… way better than two years of foreign service night school.

The US newly appointed ambassador to Yemen Stephen A Seche presented Monday his credentials to Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi.

Al-Qirbi welcomed Seche in his new mission and reviewed with him mutual cooperation relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and developing them.

Seche arrived in Sana’a on 24 August to take his position as a new US ambassador to Yemen to succeed of Thomas Charles Krajeski.

Mr. Seche is a career foreign-service officer who has spent most of his 27 years with the Department of State engaged in the practice of public diplomacy.

Before coming to Yemen, Seche was a Charge d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Damascus, Syria in February 2005.

In 1997, Mr. Seche began participating in a program of Arabic language two-year training, completing the program at the Foreign Service Institute’s Field School in Tunis. He also speaks Spanish and French. – SABA
